Assignment

Lexus of Oakville approached us with a large-scale project requiring full production and execution of a Cineplex pre-roll ad. The goal was to highlight the dealership’s exceptional customer service while showcasing both the sales and service departments. Additionally, we were tasked with creating supplementary video content, including explainer videos designed for organic reach and social media paid ads. This project demanded a high level of precision and efficiency to ensure all assets aligned with Lexus’ premium brand image.

Scope

From the initial client consultation to final delivery, we managed the entire process. During pre-production, we meticulously planned the shoot, ensuring the final content met various format requirements for multi-platform use, including social media ads, website integration, and in-store displays. Given the client’s need for versatility, we structured our filming approach to maximize content output in a single session.

Approach

The primary challenge was working within the dealership’s limited filming window while maintaining a seamless customer experience. Since filming took place during business hours, we had to carefully navigate the space, ensuring that no customers appeared on camera to avoid consent issues. Our detailed pre-production planning allowed us to execute the entire shoot in just one day. Alongside video production, we also conducted a professional photoshoot featuring vehicles and sales staff, creating additional promotional assets for posters, banners, and billboards. The photography required strategic composition to leave negative space for designers to incorporate promotional graphics effectively.

Implementation

Our experienced production crew utilized a range of professional techniques to capture Lexus’ signature luxury feel. High-end cinema cameras, smooth gimbal movements, and precise lighting setups were used to create a polished, sophisticated visual aesthetic. The combination of dynamic showroom shots, cinematic car sequences, and elegantly framed service interactions ensured the final product embodied the exclusivity of the Lexus brand.

Outcome

The final ad is now successfully running on Cineplex screens, increasing brand visibility and driving more foot traffic to the dealership.
